Brackenhurst resident is very frustrated over truck in residential area

The owner of the truck said that the matter has been resolved.

I just want to complain about a heavy commercial vehicle which regularly parks in our street in Brackenhurst.

Not only is this a residential area, but the vehicle is parked facing oncoming traffic and often causes a disturbance as early as 3am in the morning.

The truck will idle for long periods and the engine revved up for a few minutes before departing.

Apart from that, repairs are sometimes carried out in the street and diesel/oil is spilled on the road surface, creating an additional hazard.

I am not the only resident complaining about this situation and would greatly appreciate if the RECORD got involved to assist us in this matter.

Frustrated resident

*The RECORD went to the given address on July 3 and spoke to the owner of the house and truck. He said that the truck broke down due to a faulty gearbox and it stood in the street for a while as they struggled to get it fixed.

“As you can see, there is no truck here as it has been fixed,” said the owner.
