ALBERTON –  The champions of the club were awarded trophies in recognition of achievements during the past year.

Award-winners of Champions Boxing Club’s first full boxing year since its inception are:

• Best upcoming boxers: Christopher Magoai and Peter Sam.
• Best beginners: Samantha Perdica and Darleen Perdica.
• Most promising boxers: Lebo Mngomezulu and Robert Jacobs.
• Best fight of the year: Sarel Venter and Jonathan Sam in a fight against each other.
• Champion Boxer of the year: Jonathan Sam, unbeaten in four bouts.
• Boxing award: Johan Otto.
