Power outages are an inconvenience

For the last two weekends there have been power cuts in large areas of Alberton from Raceview to Verwoerd Park.

My question to the Ekurhuleni municipality or Eskom is what is the reason for all these power cuts?

It’s not for a few hours at a time, but for 24 hours plus.

Is it necessary, is maintenance work being done?

For those of us who are working, the weekends are our time to catch up with the household and it’s a great inconvenience for us.

Can the maintenance not be carried out on weekdays to minimise the effect this will have?
