ALBERTON South NG Church ended the month as it celebrated its annual spring market day on August 31 which was attended by many.
The market was hosted with the aim to promote local businesses and raise funds for its congregation.
Locals were treated to handmade crafts, clothing, delicious meals and beauty products which were sold on the day.
Attendees also took part in a dog competition, with the most beautiful dog had to perform stunning tricks to be chosen winner of the day.
Among other fun activities was a baby show as well as a fun run around the neighbourhood.
During the social event attendees enjoyed musical performance while children played on a jumping castle.
Amanda Human, a secretary at the church told the RECORD that the event had a great turnout and similar events will be hosted by the congregation.
“We had great numbers of people who came through and some came as far as Vereeniging to attend our market.
“This was a fun day and a great way for friends and family to have a great time. The funds gathered from a few food stalls will go toward funding a few programmes at the church,” she said.
