Duo beats quad bike fire tunnel world record

André de Kock (65) from Alberton and Enrico Schoeman (61) from Boksburg set new Guinness World Record for riding quad bike through fire tunnel.

The duo of André de Kock (65) from Alberton and Enrico Schoeman (61) from Boksburg once again turned up the heat on a quad bike and broke one of the most dangerous Guinness World Records.

On September 14 Schoeman rode a quad bike through a 36.59m-long fire tunnel at the Midvaal Raceway in Meyerton.

Accompanied by his long-time stunt partner, de Kock, the pair broke the record of 25m, which had stood since 2012.

Schoeman and de Kock already hold the current Guinness World Record for riding a motorcycle through a fire tunnel of 120m, set in Parys in 2014.

Schoeman will send all the relevant information regarding last Saturday’s run to Guinness for ratification, and intends to expand the record to an eventual 100m in the next year.
