Creative Academy hosted their annual Cansa Shavathon and cupcake party on February 28.

Creative Academy hosted their annual Cansa Shavathon on February 8.

On the same day they had a cupcake party in partnership with Cupcakes of Hope.

“We were blown away by the amount of support we received,” said Lolita Visser, principal of Creative Academy School of Excellence.

Cupcakes of Hope is a non-profit company and public benefit organisation started by Sandy Cipriano in 2012.

Their mission is to raise awareness of childhood cancer and funds for children with cancer who are in need of medical and financial assistance.

“We would like to thank Elize Perreia, one of our past parents who is a volunteer for Cupcakes for Kids, and Vicky Fernandez, who is one of the directors, for popping into our three campuses today and thank them for all their hard work in making 1 400 cupcakes,” said Lolita.

“So far, between all three campuses, a whopping R15 340 in donations have been received.

“Thank you to all our parents who so kindly opened their hearts and purses.”
