Alrode South is falling apart
According to residents Alrode South is starting to look like a mess and is falling apart with problems all around.

We do not have roads to drive on, no water since Sunday, electrical power cuts, filth dumped everywhere and major crime.
I bet everyone who owns property in the area pays the rates and taxes. Do we want Alrode South to become another ghost industrial area?
If it carries on like this we will have companies moving out of this area. We own three factories and ten mini-factories in the area, and I am getting lots of complaints from my tenants about the condition of the area and the high crime rate, mainly break-ins.
For many years there have been numerous meetings about the lack of control of the scrap dealers in the area, who are open 24/7 without registration control of the items they purchase, but to date nothing has happened about them carrying on business as usual.
The criminals even steal the council’s goods, from Telkom and the Metro Rails. It’s costing you, government, us as owners and tenants, millions of rand to replace the stolen goods and the damages that are done to the premises when they do break in.
It’s coming to the elections soon. Maybe to try and get votes, something should be done to attract our votes, or are we not needed?
