I have read your article on problems experienced at Home Affairs in Alberton.

Well, my wife is from the Far East and she is required to extend her visa every two years. We have been dealing with the Germiston branch and every time we have to wait for up to nine months for this service.

I have seen immigration practitioners or their ‘runners’ handing over money to the person at the counter. That person is not a cashier, so what is the money for? By the way, visas are issued free of charge.

I could go on and on about the goings-on at Germiston Home Affairs, but that would be wasting time as this has been going on for eight years that I have been attending Germiston Home Affairs.
