Kaizer Chiefs in search of silverware

Kaizer Chiefs will play Black Aces in the last MTN8 quarter-final encounter of the new Premier Soccer League season at the FNB Stadium on Sunday. The kick-off is at 15:00.

“We are going to go for each and every cup that is on offer this season,” said Itumeleng Khune, Kaizer Chiefs captain. ”We have a good squad and we will have to perform, because we need to satisfy our supporters.”

“This is a new season, but we have a few new players, and are planning to look into having more new faces for our season as the transfer window is still open,” said Khune, “We have learnt a lot from our previous season mistake, because we lost concentration at the end of the season.”

Chiefs will play on their home ground, and just come out of a pre-season loss against Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup last weekend, which also took place on their home ground.

“When the club comes to our home ground, we must not give them a chance to beat us. It is in front of our home supporters, and we will not give anything away this season.”
