Tahir joins the Proteas after Peterson injury
South Africa's leg spin sensation, Imran Tahir joins the Proteas ahead of their Boxing Day Test Match.
Imran Tahir has been named as the replacement for the injured Robin Peterson ahead of the second Test starting in Port Elizabeth on Friday, December 26.
Peterson was struck on the left index finger while fielding a ball during training on Tuesday morning, and received stitches to the finger.
Because of the injury, he will be unable to take any further part in the series. Tahir will join the squad on Wednesday morning.
