Speedster kills loved Labrador

On the December 27, 2014 at about 10:45 am I was walking my dog Velvet, a chocolate Labrador down Penzance Road.

ALBERTON – She was on the pavement with me and on a lead. A new model Ford Ranger, bright red with bull bars and a GP number plate, came speeding down Penzance Road which is a 60km zone.

It was a black male driver who jumped the pavement while speeding. As a result he killed my dog on impact and despite me yelling for him to stop, he drove away. Velvet died instantly.

I was unable to get the registration number and as a result am appealing to anyone with any information to please contact me. I would also like the rest of the community who walk their dogs to be aware of this driver.

Your help would be very much appreciated
