Amajimbos in final preparation stage for CAF Under 17 African Youth Championships
Amajimbos coach Molefi Ntseki said he expected a good crowd to come and watch the future stars in action.
Amajimbos have regrouped for their final preparations ahead of the 2015 CAF u.17 African Youth Championships to be played in Niger from February to March 1.
The national u.17 team will play a friendly match against SAFA Port Elizabeth on Thursday February 5 at Isaac Wolfson Stadium. The kick-off is scheduled for 15:00.
Amajimbos coach Molefi Ntseki said he expected a good crowd to come and watch the future stars in action.
He requested schools and the general public to turn up at Isaac Wolfson Stadium for this high-tempo farewell game.
“We are finalising our preparations for this important tournament, and the people of PE must give us a rousing goodbye. We are concluding most of our preparations this week, before we head for Niamey, the capital city of Niger,” said coach Ntseki.
There are two changes to the 22-man squad, enforced by the injury sustained by Thulani Dhladhla, who has been replaced by Riyaaz Ismali from Hellenic FC, while Katlego Mtwisha has been replaced by striker Kobanelo Kodisang from the Platinum Stars Academy.
The South Africa are in Group B together with Cote d’Ivoire, Mali and Cameroon, while Group A consists of hosts Niger, Guinea, Nigeria and Zambia.
