Cyclist from Albion Wheelers and other cycling clubs surrounding Alberton have the opportunity to ride two big races virtually on their doorstep during February, and spectators could enjoy top cycling.
ALBERTON – On Sunday February 15 it is time for the Dis-Chem Ride for Sight, from Boksburg Lake over 62 and 116 km distances. A week later, on Sunday February 22, Carnival City is the place to be for the Carnival City Macsteel Classic race over distances of 103 and 65 km.
There is a 160 km race for professional riders and 120 km for veterans. Both cycling events are in aid of charity.
