Christoff van Heerden won the gruelling MTB 40km at the Emperors Palace Cycling Classic.
The Emperors Palace Classic was held over the weekend of April 11 and 12 and some 7 000 cyclists showed the skills in this event.
The mountain bike component took place on the Saturday and offered a 20km and 40km ride for the MTB enthusiasts.
On Sunday road cyclists were fighting it out on the 102km and 50km events. The popular Emperors Palace Kids Classic for riders from two to four and the Circuit Spectacular ride were held on the Sunday.
