I am a parent of two learners of Glenvista High School. Please can all parents/shuttle services and other road users of The Broads Road (which passes the school’s main entrance) calm down and slow down.
I sat in my car this morning for about 15 minutes, watching the early morning traffic up and down past the school’s main entrance, and it is absolutely shocking.
Lots of drivers are impatient, rude and irresponsible! Cars pick up incredible speeds, as if participating in a street race! People are clearly road-raged and explosively irritated.
Please, please, please people, these are our children crossing the streets, walking alongside and on the pavements, heading for school.
I am seriously concerned for pupils’ safety here. Please slow down and rather be a few minutes late. Our children are our most precious belonging.
