ALBERTON – After the appearance of the article in the Alberton RECORD I had a call from Lisje Els, who very enthusiastically offered assistance, and we were absolutely bowled over by the efficiency and speed with which she set to work.

On Friday morning April 24, and under the pouring rain, she kept her promise and delivered over 350 chairs to Eden Park High with the help of all the many people who contributed so willingly and generously.

On behalf of myself and Cllr Laurence I would also like to express sincere thanks to Lisje for initiating the project, her daughter Lize, for getting the school to donate the chairs, and St Theresa’s Mercy school.

Mr. Marius Botha of MRB Transport and his son Ruben deserve special thanks for transporting and off-loading the chairs with the willing help of Rev. Els, Job and John who worked in the pouring rain.

Many thanks.
