Ruthless Alberton fighter defends his title

JP Weber defends title succesfully.

ALBERTON – A spinning backfist has kept JP “Ruthless” Webers’ belt intact.

Weber successfully defended his South African Super Amateur K1 title when he knocked out his opponent in the second round with a spinning backfist shot.

He competed in the 63kg, light weight division fight at the K1 championship, which was held at the Danie van Zyl Hall, in Newlands, on Saturday, April 25.

He has to defend this title one more time before he will be announced as the undisputed title holder.

Weber trains with Mike Laranjeira at Alive and Kicking, at the Winchester Hills Sports Club.
