ALBERTON – Michael Brandon-Kirby took over from the injured Glyn Rynhoud as the new Alberton Comrades champion for 2015.

He finished his 15th Comrades marathon in 7 hours 42 minutes and beat Marius Carstens, the second Alberton runner home, by 36 minutes.

Glyn also brought home a Bill Rowan medal for completing the marathon in less than nine hours.
