Reading Country Club celebrated their 75th birthday with a Festival of Golf.

ALBERTON – Reading Country Club celebrated their 75th birthday with a  Festival of Golf which took place over three days on June 3, 4 and 5.

Winners of the Friday competition, a Betterball Stableford, were Patrick Fegen and Frans Broodryk with 48 points. Reading Country Club, once referred to by golfing greats Bobby Locke and Gary Player as one of the most beautiful parklands in the world, boasts a rich history and has gone from strength to strength since 1939.

The club today boasts a membership of 816 with an average of 109 rounds of golf played per day.
