Battle lines are drawn by arch rivals in Derby

The two teams have played in notorious Derby’s against each other and each time it’s a new game.

Probably the two biggest clubs in the premier Soccer League, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, have once against drawn the battle lines for the year’s Derby.

The two rivals will meet in an Absa Premier Soccer League match on Saturday October 31 at Chiefs home grounds, FNB Stadium.

The match kick-off is at 15:30, but stadium management has urged supporters to login early at the stadium all measures have been taken for the spectators to get to the stadium in time via all transport.

“We have done our preparations and as soon as we go onto the field then all the excitement surrounding the derby will be over and the focus will be on the game,” said Head coach of Kaizer Chiefs, Steve Komphela.

On the other hand, Orlando Pirates head coach, Eric Tinkler, is under pressure for his team has not had the results that were hoping for in the league. “There is always presuure no matter what game it is whether it is a CAF, Knockout Cup or league, the pressure is on you.”

The stadium are expected to fill up to 90 000 spectators and the biggest sporting show will commence before the frantic fans of both teams.
