Alberton’s brave Comrades’ survivors of the gruelling and tough 2015 marathon, with a coveted finisher’s medal to show for it, were duly honoured at the Alberton Athletics Club annual prize-giving and Comrades honours event.

The top awards for Comrades athletes of the year went to Michael Brandon-Kirby, first finisher in 7:42 and Barbara Luckemeyer, first Alberton women’s finisher in 8:37:29.
