Dedicated employees honoured

The hospital’s management took the initiative to recognise hard work, diligence and dedication of their staff members

SOUTH Rand Hospital held its Annual Long Service Recognition Awards last month.

The hospital’s management took the initiative to recognise hard work, diligence and dedication of their staff members to the institution and the Department of Health.

The primary purpose of the event was to recognise the staff members who had completed 10, 20, 30 and 40 years of unbroken long service for their contribution to the hospital.

The hospital management recognized a total of 54 employees, one staff member for 40 years service, 19 employees for 20, three employees for 30 years service and 32 staff members for 10 years service in the hospital.

“It’s not easy for someone to reach 40 years of long service in one institution. Think about the knowledge and experience. You would wish that those skills and knowledge could be transferred to the youth,” said the acting hospital chief executive officer Dr Lucky Letwaba.

The employees were awarded with certificates of long service in the hospital. Ms Ethel Mlangeni, human resource manager and Dr Letwaba presented the certificates.
