Tony is the bee’s knees

Tony explained how honey is produced, the different types that can be found, the effect a bee's diet can have on the taste of the honey as well as the challenges he faces in the industry.

On Tuesday, May 31, the RECORD visited Tony Glaros, a beekeeper and resident in Verwoerdpark.

A beekeeper (or apiarist) is someone who keeps bees and collects the honey and other products they produce, and uses it for the pollination of crops.

Tony explained how honey is produced, the different types that can be found, the effect a bee’s diet can have on the taste of the honey as well as the challenges he faces in the industry.
