A DRUG lab containing Mandrax with an estimated value of R12-million was discovered by the Gauteng police on a plot in Walkerville, near Vereeniging, at noon on June 7.

According to sources, the police were responding to a tip-off which lead them to a house where they found a drug lab in the garage.

The police found chemicals in powder and liquid form, pots, gas burners and Mandrax powder ready to be made into tablets.

Two men were arrested and they are expected to appear in the Vereeniging Magistrates Court.

Gauteng police are investigating whether more people could be linked to the R12 million drug bust.
