Police and churches stand together

Police want to get churches involved in the fight against crime.

THE POLICE from Ekurhuleni West Cluster recently hosted a talk at Faith Ministry in Van Riebeeck Avenue in Alberton North.

Domestic violence and substance abuse were some of the issues that the speakers of the day spoke about. Alberton SAPS are starting a partnership with churches in the area in the fight against crime.

Churches are welcome to invite the police to their services and give them an opportunity to address congregants about crime and the way forward in assisting each other.

For more information, contact the police on 011 861 6800.
