Blocked drain causes a stink

"After eighteen months of living in this house, on Poets Avenue, Randhart, we are ready to move, because we cannot handle this disgusting overflowing sewer anymore"

After 18 months of living in this house, on Poets Avenue, Randhart, we are ready to move, because we cannot handle this disgusting overflowing sewer anymore.

This problem of ours has been ongoing for around two months now, and although the municipality sends someone from time to time, they simply take some wire and push it further down, which only helps for a very short while before it becomes clogged up again.

Furthermore, they then just leave it like that, with all the toilet paper, condoms, tampons, etc, lying there.

The stench is unbearable and we can’t even let our daughter play outside as it is a major health risk, dogs come by and sniff around, bikes and cars drive through it, sewer water is sprayed up into the air…

We couldn’t even entertain expected guests this past weekend because of the foul smell – nobody is going to want to braai with that odour hanging around.

Fed up, Alberton
