Blast from the Past at Figures

Figures Models Agency Alberton strut their stuff under the theme "Blast from the past".

STUDENTS of the Alberton Figures Finesse International Branch were all revved up for their graduation show, at the Mall at Newmarket, on August 13.

They visited the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, to strut their stuff under the theme of Blast from the Past.

The juniors paraded in their outfits in the morning, while the seniors took to the catwalk in the afternoon.

Support for the event was overwhelming, with family and friends there to cheer on their superstars.

The eras represented were recreated with music and the stage backdrop, with ABBA and Modern Talking, to mention just two, blasting out their tunes.

The outfits were just as nostalgic, ranging from the Austin Powers ’60s, to the flower power peace of the ’70s and the funky fit ’80s. Grease Lightening and Saturday Night Fever also made an appearance!

Top-scorers were announced as they graduated from their respective completed courses, as well as the top three best dressed students of each course on the day.

“Congratulations to all the students who took such obvious delight in going back in time and reviving the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s; you brought back many wonderful memories and you all rocked our world,” said Emma Griffin-Coetzer, from the agency.
