Mystery surrounds death at party
Widow in mourning doesn't know how to tell her children about their father's mysterious death

THANDI Zali is still in shock after the mysterious death of her husband.
Mark Zali (39) passed away on his birthday, on August 7, while celebrating with some of his friends in Studebaker Street, Eden Park.
The perplexed widow told the RECORD that she is still confused by the circumstances around her husband’s death. The cause of death on his death certificate states ”under investigation”.
“I was called at 20:30 from the place where Mark and his friends were, and was told to come through and have a look, because people were going through my sleeping husband’s pockets,” she said.
”I refused, but received another call at 22:40, and then I went.
“With his head on the table and one arm hanging down, he seemed to be in a deep sleep. ”Paramedics arrived and laid him on the floor. The table was clean with no bottle or glass. Everything was cleaned and even the paramedics asked what had happened to the bottle and glass from which my husband was drinking. There was no answer.
“I need answers. I need to know how my husband died. He was happy and was not suffering from any illnesses. His death is a mystery.
”I am expecting our third child, who is due any day now, and what am I going to tell my children? How do I explain their father’s death?
The case is still under investigation.
