A sergeant working at the Brackendowns Police Station is congratulated on a job well done.
On Thursday, August 18, two males were arrested after they had allegedly been involved in the armed robbery of a police officer, as well as robbing school children.
Sgt Lindi Maloyi saw occupants of a white Volkswagen Polo Vivo acting suspiciously, especially once they spotted her police vehicle, so she followed them to a SPAR and asked them for their drivers’ licences.
With the help of D&D Tactical, she took the suspects to the Brackendowns Police Department, where she discovered that their car was the same one that people were warned to be on the lookout for, after a spate of robberies.
“A big thank you to Sgt Lindi Moloi from SAPS Brackendowns for her outstanding work in catching the perpetrators, who have been mugging children on their way home from school,” says Mrs Burger, principal of Brackenhurst Primary School.
”While this immediate danger is over, please emphasise to your children not to let their guard down and to please observe the safety rules we have discussed with them at school when walking home in the afternoon.”
