Taxi disabled by thieves

A lot of money will be lost daily while the taxi is standing on bricks.

A TAXI driver who resides in Palmridge delivered his last load of commuters on Tuesday night, September 13, and parked his minibus, not knowing that it would be immobile the next day.

When the driver got up on Wednesday morning, for his early shift, he discovered that the minibus was parked on bricks. All four wheels had been removed and the thieves had also stolen the battery.

The owner of the taxi, David Hector, who met the RECORD at the Eden Park SAPS, expressed his frustration: “This is really a set-back for my business. A lot of money will be lost daily while the taxi is standing on bricks.

“This is the work of nyaope addicts who go around stealing anything. Even the police have the same suspicion.

”I am busy doing my own investigation, in the hope of catching the thieves who steal daily to entertain their bad habit.”A case of theft was registered and the Eden Park SAPS is investigating.
