Do your bit for women in need

The event will take place at the Alberton Methodist Church.

HELPFUL handbags in aid of the Women’s Empowerment Centre will be hosting their first annual high tea on October 29 at 10:00 at the Alberton Methodist Church.

Helpful Handbags is a charity initiative with the purpose of empowering women in crisis. They collect old and new handbags, fill it with goodies such as, roll-on, facial tissues, hand cream, toothbrush, nail file, sanitary towels, a scarf and a brush or comb. It is then donated to the Women’s Empowerment Centre in De Deur.

Every woman deserves to feel worthy and the aim of Helpful Handbags is to make that happen.

The cost of the event is R100 per woman which includes lunch. Those who are able to sponsor seats at R100 or a table at R1 000 are asked to contact the organisers.

For more information, contact Minca on 082 379 2608 or Jen on 072 844 7498.
