Volunteers host daycare activities for patients

Day care activity class for the hospice’s community patients, is starting to become quite popular.

AN initiative by Stepping Stone Hospice volunteers to host a monthly daycare activity class for the hospice’s community patients is starting to become quite popular.

According to the volunteer coordinator, Kia Bierman, some of the patients can’t wait for the Thursday when they all meet in the training centre at Stepping Stone Hospice in New Market Park.

“I think it is more about the fact that they can get out of their homes and make new friends with people in similar situations than themselves,” she says.
