Many used text books not handed back

Be sure to return your text books at the end of the year.

HASHTAG ‘Bring Back the Textbooks Campaign’ is a Facebook page, which was created by Getrude Tseki from the Department of Education.

According to her, the department spends millions yearly to buy new text books, because of children not handing in their current text books.

This is an initiative to improve the textbook retrieval rate in schools – and is geared towards the utilisation of LTSM budget for other educational matters.

Getrude said she wants to motivate learners to hand in their text books at the end of their school year.

Follow the ‘Bring Back the Textbooks Campaign’ page to also see daily updates, about text book retrievals at schools.
