A MOTORCYCLIST is in critical condition after losing control of his motorcycle.

On Friday, December 2, around 06:00, a biker was on his way to the Poison Rally in Kroonstad, when he lost control around a bend on the N12 West at the R59 split in Alberton.

“EMER-G-MED’s RV5, M08 and A10 responded to the call. The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries to his lower limbs and required rapid advanced life support intervention.

“Once stabilised the patient was transported to Netcare Union Hospital, a Level One trauma centre, for urgent specialist care,” says Max Cohen, EMER-G-MED spokesperson.
