Large parts of Alberton have been without electricity since this morning, Monday, December 19.

LARGE parts of Alberton have been without electricity since this morning, Monday, December 19.

Ward councillor Malcolm Maifala said according to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s chief engineer, the power supply tripped on the Eskom supply side due to equipment damage in its substation high voltage yard.

“The power is expected to be restored by 11:00 today,” said Maifala.
