BRACKENDOWNS CPF had a meeting on February 19, in Albertsdal, where members discussed the increase in crime in the area.
Local security companies, SAPS and ward councillors attended the meeting.
Leon du Plessis, a member of the CPF, addressed residents about the Sector 3 WhatsApp groups.
“People need to know emergency numbers and they need to be alert all the times,” said Leon. He also added that people need to be a part of the CPF.
Leon also said that if a community stands together, they can make a bigger impact on crime.
Brackendowns CPF thanked everyone for attending the meeting and also thanked the OK Grocery, in Mayberry Park, which supplied snacks and refreshments.
For more information, contact the CPF on 071 675 6883/2 or WhatsApp Leon on 072 087 8198.
