Pool work is back on track

“All we need now is to work with discipline and respect to complete the pool by the end of October.”

CONSTRUCTION work at the Eden Park swimming pool was set to recommence on March 20, following the appointment of a new contractor.

Work came to halt in November 2016 due to non-payment of workers by the contractor employed at the time.

On Thursday, March 16, the business forum had a meeting with workers where an assurance was given that they would be paid their outstanding wages by midnight that day.

“The new contractor, BMG Construction, will be on site on March 20 where work will begin,” said Jerry Marcus, of the forum.

“All we need now is to work with discipline and respect to complete the pool by the end of October.”
