Black Labradors found

"I caught and took the female Labrador to the vet which I suspect they have transferred to the SPCA. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to trace the male - he has disappeared."

WHILE working in my home office on March 20, two black dogs (one large male and a slightly smaller female, possibly Labradors) were running around in the street, obviously together and strayed from their home.

They pulled our little Yorkshire terrier through the palisade fence and viciously attacked and injured him. I caught and took the female Labrador to the vet and I suspect they have transferred it to the SPCA.

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to trace the male – he has disappeared.

I wouldn’t want this scenario to reoccur or, even worse, have dogs attack children like that.

I call on the owners to contact me regarding the collection of the female dog on 081 028 8496 . Then, I call on the public:

  • Please keep your animals behind gates at all times. Don’t leave gates open for dogs to roam the streets.
  • If you go on holiday, ensure that your dogs are looked after and that they don’t jump walls to look for food.

I know this has happened in the past – people drop their animals in the area if they’re not wanted anymore.

Please, rather take them to the SPCA! They will be able to help find them homes, thereby preventing future problems like these.
