Bridge the Gap: New Alberton CCC Manager

Over the past few years I have worked with a remarkable official who headed the Alberton CCC and championed service delivery in our community, Mr Clive Dunstan.

Mr Clive Dunstan was the Alberton CCC Manager for the past five years and he has taken up a new position as Ekurhuleni Special Project Manager from October 1. Clive has done a sterling job while he was responsible for service delivery to more that 100 000 Ekurhuleni residents living in Alberton.

He has served our community with diligence and professionalism during his tenure as head of the Alberton CCC. The CCC Manager is in all aspects the most senior official in Alberton and he is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day running of the Town and municipal service delivery.

I regard myself as privileged to have worked with Clive Dunstan. He always acted promptly on service delivery problems referred to him and personally gave feedback to councillors and residents. My reputation as a municipal problem solver is thanks to Clive Dunstan, and he greatly contributed to my effectiveness and efficiency as a councillor.

It was with pride and appreciation that we greeted Clive at the Alberton Service Delivery Meeting last week Friday. Bidding farewell to a colleague is even more difficult if that person has become a friend. Clive was a valuable asset to Alberton and we all wish him well in his new position.

At the same time Alberton Councillors and Officials welcomed Mr Steven Nowatha as the new CCC Manager of Alberton. Steven has been groomed in service delivery while heading the Daveyton CCC for the last five years. His performance and dedication to the community was a key factor that supported his deployment to Alberton.

May I ask our community to extend a warm welcome to Steven Nowatha. The CCC Manager is the first port of call in assisting councillors to address resident’s complaints and service delivery problems. We will all give Steven all the support he will need to continue where Clive left off in building a better community. In building a better community we can collectively achieve our mandate by ensuring a better life for all. The new CCC Manager can be reached on 011 999 2643 or Steven.Nowatha@ekurhuleni.gov.za.

Let’s bridge the Gap and welcome the CCC Manager. Diamond.Neil@ekurhuleni.gov.za.
