Young Ian is in need of a wheelchair

A BOY from Eden Park is in desperate need of a wheelchair.

Ian Marcus (12) was born paralysed in 2005, is unable to walk and has been carried everywhere his whole life.

“Carrying my son everywhere I go has been my duty and not a burden. Carrying him to the clinic, church, hospital and stimulation centres is beginning to be stressful as he grows and is becoming heavier. I have been going around Eden Park asking for a wheelchair that is not being used, but in vain,” said Ian’s father, Ben van Wyk.

“I am pleading with the Eden Park and Alberton community to please help my dear son with a wheelchair, just to make his life a little easier. God bless you, said the unemployed van Wyk.

Ben can be contacted on his brother Edwin’s phone: 071 182 2163.
