The Charity Shop ready to open its doors
Make sure that you pop into Stepping Stone Hospice's The Charity shop on June 1 - you don't want to miss this opening.
THE Stepping Stone Hospice Charity Shop is in its final phase of transformation before its grand opening this Thursday, 1 June.
The RECORD paid another visit to the shop on May 23 to lend a few extra helping hands with the painting – and was it fun! The western wall was covered in vintage dark-and-light-brown stripes, all in a matter of three hours. Most of the old furniture is looking brand new and there are already a few potential customers who couldn’t help but take a peek at the whimsical-looking, nearly finished Charity Shop.

Then it was crunch time, with everything having to be moved in and unpacked over the weekend for the grand opening on Thursday. You will not be able to walk past this shop without stopping to have a look. It’s going to be a treasure trove of vintage furniture, old books, decorative home pieces, toys, clothes, and many other fascinating items.

It’s nearly payday, so remember to put aside a few notes and let your inner hipster loose on June 1 – it’s for a good cause, after all! And if you have any usable and previously loved items, especially furniture which you don’t use anymore, or if certain possessions are taking up too much space in your home, feel free to donate them to the Charity Shop!
