Buildings reportedly damaged in Benoni protest
Some shops and houses are reported to have been damaged by protestors in Benoni this morning (June 26).
Initial reports indicate that people were given permission to march to the municipal buildings on Elston Avenue, to hand over a memorandum to the MMC for housing.
The MMC had apparently not arrived, which fueled anger amongst the hundreds of people.
