Danie will be remembered

Not only is the Danie Linde Wellness Institute a household name in Alberton but the man, Danie Linde will long still be remembered

DANIE Linde (55), a well-known resident and also the the first Biokineticist in Alberton, sadly passed away due to natural causes.

About 20 years ago he convinced the Alberton Town Council to invest in building a Biokinetic Centre to serve the local community in their health through exercise. The construction of the Alberton Biokinetic Centre was completed in 1989 and the official opening was on July 25, 1989, by his Worship Mayor Counsellor Dirk Smit.

From then on, Danie became a well-known Biokineticist in the community. He eventually privatised the centre and developed the Luft (a device to improve lung wellness), which is available through Hitech Therapy. He also developed isokinetic equipment for assessing muscle strength.

Danie further went into corporate wellness and travelled all over South Africa, testing people at mines and other remote areas, keeping the Alberton Biokinetic Centre as his base of operations.“He was the one who convinced me to follow my dreams and thanks to him I got to follow my passion as well,” said his wife, Marinda.

He also did his doctorate, completed his MBA and received numerous awards, including the merit award for outstanding contribution to establishing and promoting the biokinetic private practice. Danie also had an association with Dinamika High School, attending to their sport injuries and programme prescription.

Numerous interns completed their internships under Danie and became outstanding Biokineticist in their own practises.

REMEMBERED: Danie Linde will forever be part of his family and friends’ lives.

He gave numerous health talks to all walks of life and has been involved as a Biokineticist with the Lions rugby for a few years.

“His work was his passion and he made his mark wherever he went,” she said. The couple was married for 26 years and Marinda said he was her everything and also her support system.

Marinda, also a Biokineticist, specialising in aquatic therapy and his children Marlize Maree and Danie Linde (junior) decided to rename the Alberton Biokinetic centre to The Danie Linde Wellness Institute to honour Danie for the outstanding Biokineticist, husband, father and grandfather he was.

“Everyone will remember him as the kind-hearted, down to earth, highly intelligent person who loved his work and his family,” Marinda said.

Together with Danie Linde‘s brother, Piet Linde, the Biokinetic Centre was revamped and renamed to become the Danie Linde Wellness Institute.

“Danie will always be a part of me, my children and his family. We will continue to live out his passion, just for him. He was one remarkable man who lived his life to the fullest. He deserved more than the world. I miss him every second and I love hims so much that I will keep his dream and work alive,” said Marinda.
