Sonja van der Merwe from the Everite team said: “For us it’s about having a passion for people and helping where there’s a need. We’re re-roofing the nurses’ canteen behind the In-Patient Unit at Stepping Stone Hospice because we’d like to do something that has a lasting impact.”

Stepping Stone CEO, Tersia Burger, said: “The canteen roof had been leaking for some time and it’s the only place where our clinical team can go and have tea or lunch and enjoy some ‘down’ time. This roof improvement will not only keep out the rain, but also help seal in the warmth on chilly days. The Everite team has definitely gone above and beyond their 67 Minutes for Mandela Day – they’ve given us year-round cover. We can’t thank them enough.”
