ANTHONY MBELE: They must be locked up because what they are doing is uncalled for. The community needs to report them to the police. I don’t see why they abuse animals.
RECORD asks the community how perpetrators of animal abuse can be held liable for their actions, and what punishment should be imposed on them.
DUDU MANGENA: The cruelty to animals is very wrong. A strong warning must sent to the perpetrators. This week a dog was stolen and we were very heartbroken because it was as if we had lost our companion.LIANA MARX: Consequences for animal cruelty should be stricter. People are fined and aren’t allowed to have animals but they are born with that violence in them and will continue to abuse animals and even children.ANASTACIA SMART: Abused animals should be removed from the owners. These people should not be allowed to have animals. They should be punished the same way they punished these innocent animals.HLONI MABENA: I feel sorry for the abused animals and I would love for animal abusers to be prosecuted because what they are doing is wrong. As the community we need to be vigilant and report any case of abuse.
