Help police identify body

"We would like to find any of this man's family or friends before the state buries him"

BRACKENDOWNS Police need the community’s help to identify the body of a deceased black male.

Det Sgt Nkomo from the station said the body was found at Kliprivier Road on August 4 at approximately 9pm.

“The person was involved in an accident. He was a pedestrian,” Nkomo said.

“We managed to get the name of the deceased through his fingerprints. His name is Thabo Mamburu, ID number: 900512 5833 087. However, we could not confirm his address or find any next of kin. The state wants to bury him as a pauper. We would like to find any of this man’s family or friends before the state buries him,” added Nkomo.

Anyone with information can contact Nkomo on: 072 960 1786 or 011 617 5648.
