Churches combine for prayer rally

The church invited different churches from Eden Park, Palmridge, Greenfield and surrounding areas.

“TIME To Pray” was the theme of the day at the prayer rally held at Supa-Dupa Supermarket on September 16.

The prayer rally was hosted by Palmridge-based Church of the Lamb. The church invited different churches from Eden Park, Palmridge, Greenfield and surrounding areas.

The aim of this event was to have a prayer day for all the different communities. It was a combined prayer day with speeches from prominent speakers and gospel music to entertain the crowd.

One believer, beating hard on her tambourine and singing her heart out, said all the churches present are to pray for the communities, but especially for the youth of today who are well off the right track. “Crime and drugs have taken over our youth,” said the anonymous believer. “Our youth today is only busy with guns, dagga and drugs. They have forgotten about the church and serving God. It’s time to pray for them.”

The well-attended event started early on Saturday morning and concluded late in the afternoon.
