Alrode man electrocuted

He sustained serious burn wounds to his left hand.

ER24 responded to a situation on October 17 where a man was electrocuted while he was working at a factory on Langkloof Road in Alrode.

The man was assessed by paramedics and found to have sustained serious burn wounds to his left hand. Paramedics treated the man for his injuries and thereafter transported him to a private hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the man had been working on the wires when he was electrocuted.

An internal investigation will be conducted by the company.
