Rex was confiscated as a result of tail docking. It was done with a rubber band and resulted in a major infection. Tail docking is illegal, unless it is performed by a vet and a vet may only do it for medical reasons.
“Any animals found where tails have been docked, there will be an investigation and prosecution,” said Rob Delport (SPCA).
