A place to meet and learn
“Reading’s kind support enables us to meet regularly with our volunteers to train, learn, share and support the group.”
THE Alberton Victim Support (AVS) group would like to thank Reading Country Club for their support and provision of their venue, tea and coffee for AVS’s monthly meetings.
AVS is a group of 29 volunteers, who are also residents from Alberton, who offers their time and skills at the Alberton SAPS Victim Support Centre. All 29 volunteers have and continue to receive training in all areas of counselling and defusing. This group operates 24/7 throughout the year.
“Reading’s kind support enables us to meet regularly with our volunteers to train, learn, share and support the group,” said Tammy du Plooy. “This ensures that the service we offer to the community is of a high standard.”
